About the role

The External Sales and Service Advisor (OBR) will deliver an exceptional customer experience by understanding individual needs and providing tailored financial solutions. Working in a fast‑paced environment, the advisor will apply sales processes, build client relationships and support the bank’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply appropriate sales processes to achieve targets and build lasting client relationships.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to increase sales revenue while containing costs.
  • Sell packaged financial solutions and maximise cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of digital and self‑service channels across the client base.
  • Maintain specialised knowledge of FirstRand approved products, application procedures and fulfillment timelines.
  • Produce high‑quality work in line with governance, compliance and quality standards.
  • Complete accurate administration, reporting and information updates on time.
  • Contribute to teamwork, inclusivity and cost‑efficient resource utilisation.

Required profile

  • Completed an FSCA‑recognised FAIS‑relevant NQF Level 5 qualification or higher.
  • Successfully passed the First Level Regulatory Examination.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with organisational values, code of ethics and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical mindset to identify risks, propose solutions and improve service delivery.
