Director, Area Marketing

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Area Marketing to lead consumer and partner marketing strategies across Central America. The role will shape advertising, promotions, sponsorships and market research initiatives that align with business priorities and drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute integrated consumer and partner marketing plans, including advertising, promotions, sponsorships and market research.
• Develop metrics and specifications to track program performance, analyze results and recommend corrective actions.
• Create and manage creative content and thought‑leadership materials for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain budgetary oversight for marketing programs, ensuring efficient spend and financial accountability.
• Leverage deep category and ecosystem insights to influence partner agendas and strategic decisions.
• Coordinate deliverables with external vendors such as agencies and film production teams.

Required profile

• Proven success in building integrated marketing plans that leverage multiple channels.
• Strong ability to establish collaborative relationships with global marketing counterparts and represent local market interests.
• Experience working across consumer and B2B marketing functions.
• Track record of leading complex, cross‑functional projects and meeting tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated capability to deliver results on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
