About the role

We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) based in Panama City to provide comprehensive accounting, tax and administrative services to companies operating in Panama. The professional will work closely with our Colombia team to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, organize and maintain the accounting records of assigned companies in accordance with Panamanian accounting standards.
• Record and review all financial transactions, including revenues, costs, expenses, receivables, payables, assets, liabilities and equity.
• Perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, provisions, depreciation and monthly/annual closing procedures.
• Prepare financial statements, trial balances, notes and management reports.
• Prepare and file national tax returns (income tax, ITBMS, withholdings) and related electronic reports via e‑Tax 2.0.
• Manage the clients’ tax calendars, monitor deadlines and issue preventive alerts.
• Support electronic invoicing compliance and oversee the use of authorized billing systems.
• Handle payroll processing, labor filings and social security contributions through the SIPE system.
• Assist with municipal tax filings and other regulatory obligations.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed to practice in Panama.
• Strong knowledge of Panamanian accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with a remote team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to timely delivery of financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with e‑Tax 2.0 electronic filing platform.
• Experience using the SIPE payroll and labor reporting system.
• In‑depth understanding of Panamanian tax law and compliance requirements.
