Conference and Meeting Support Consultant

About the role

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) seeks a consultant to provide end‑to‑end administrative and operational support for the Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (RP27). Working remotely, you will ensure that all elements of the hybrid conference – from procurement to participant coordination – are delivered on schedule and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes, registration, and participant logistics for RP27.
• Coordinate official statements, event communications, and documentation.
• Support the planning and execution of the intergovernmental segment, including the Ministerial Meeting and Technical Meeting.
• Facilitate knowledge‑sharing sessions and ensure gender‑responsive approaches are integrated.
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates to UNDRR staff and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in conference, meeting or event support, preferably in an international or UN context.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet tight deadlines.
