About the role

Join FirstRand’s 2027 Chartered Accountant (CA) Programme, a comprehensive training pathway designed to develop future finance leaders. Participants will rotate through key banking functions, gaining hands‑on experience while working towards CA qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate cost consciousness and monitor personal contribution to productivity.
• Identify and escalate potential risks that could increase costs.
• Propose and implement process improvements to reduce waste and enhance service levels.
• Deliver first‑time resolution of customer queries, adhering to service level agreements.
• Maintain accurate product knowledge and provide technically sound guidance.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders to meet work expectations.
• Comply with governance, compliance standards and ethical codes.
• Explore technology‑enabled solutions and support platform migration initiatives.
• Seek regular performance feedback and create a personal development plan.
