About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Foreman to lead a team of mechanical technicians and qualified workers in the maintenance, repair and installation of heavy mining equipment and associated infrastructure within a large‑scale mining operation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of mechanical technicians, assemblers and other qualified professionals in daily mechanical maintenance activities.
• Plan, schedule and assign work orders for preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of diverse mining equipment.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues, ensure safety compliance and maintain operational availability.
• Diagnose complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety policies, procedures and environmental regulations.
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback and deliver training to improve skills and productivity.
• Manage resources including personnel, materials, tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and logs.
• Coordinate with operations, electrical, planning and other departments to minimise operational interruptions.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis for significant equipment failures and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Required profile

• Technical degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Mechanical Foreman or similar supervisory role in a heavy‑industrial or mining environment.
• Strong leadership, motivation and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent Spanish with strong English communication skills (highly desirable).
