Branch Controller

About the role

FNB is seeking a Branch Controller to lead branch operations, drive digital migration, and ensure compliance while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be pivotal in optimizing performance, managing risk, and supporting the branch’s commercial and service objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.
• Lead digital migration initiatives and promote customer adoption of electronic banking channels.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements, governance standards, and risk‑mitigation processes.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities with creditworthy, profitable customers.
• Streamline service delivery processes to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
• Drive continuous improvement by eliminating waste and implementing process enhancements.
• Manage, coach, and develop branch staff to achieve high performance and engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification; preferably NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Management or related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in branch operations or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of branch audit processes, risk management, and operational effectiveness.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive digital initiatives, and identify commercial growth opportunities.
