Auxiliar de Operaciones y Compras - Zona Libre de Colón

About the role

The Operations and Purchasing Assistant will manage all documentation related to foreign trade, coordinate shipments from China, and maintain direct relationships with international suppliers and customers. This position supports the smooth flow of imports, exports, and inventory transfers within the Free Zone of Colón.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process import/export documents such as Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate production, dispatch, and container loading with Chinese factories and the Logis Fashion warehouse.
• Maintain direct communication with Chinese suppliers to ensure shipment dates and resolve production or packaging issues.
• Liaise with shipping lines and customs agents to track containers to their final destination.
• Handle re‑export or transit procedures when required.
• Proactively inform international clients about order status and manage incident resolution (delays, shortages, documentation errors).
• Record and reconcile dispatch data in the ERP system.
• Assist with seasonal inventory transfers from China to the Free Zone of Colón.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in international trade or freight forwarding.
• Hands‑on experience with the full import/export cycle and supplier coordination abroad.
• Functional English for written and verbal communication with suppliers in China and clients in Asia and Africa.
