Afterschool Coach

About the role

The Afterschool Coach will plan, lead and develop extracurricular activities that support students' overall development, including skills, creativity, physical fitness, critical thinking and teamwork. The role also involves preparing and accompanying students to performances, competitions and tournaments while representing the school's values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead training sessions, classes, rehearsals and practical sessions for the assigned discipline.
• Design age‑appropriate activities and teaching strategies to develop technical, physical and cognitive skills.
• Supervise students during activities, competitions, performances and related events, ensuring safety and appropriate conduct.
• Prepare and accompany students and teams to tournaments, competitions and performances, and support them in representing the school.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback and adapt sessions to meet individual needs.

Required profile

• Academic background, certification or demonstrated experience in the discipline to be taught (e.g., soccer).
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a coaching, teaching or facilitation role.
• Ability to manage groups of students of different ages and skill levels.
• Availability to participate in activities outside regular school hours when required.
• Proficiency in English is an asset, especially in an international school environment.

Required skills

• Strong technical and practical knowledge of the assigned activity (e.g., soccer fundamentals).
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
