Remote Legal Assistant – Support Attorneys & Paralegals

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑driven Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to attorneys and paralegals in a fully remote law‑firm environment. You will keep cases organized, manage deadlines, and ensure smooth communication with clients and courts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, format, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case files according to firm and court standards.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing status updates and gathering necessary information.
• Manage case calendars, tracking deadlines, filing dates, hearings, and follow‑up tasks.
• Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and third parties to gather information and advance cases.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client and case files within the firm’s case management system.
• Draft routine correspondence and assist attorneys with case preparation, filings, and administrative tasks.
• Handle incoming calls and inquiries professionally, routing matters appropriately and alerting attorneys to priority items.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a law‑firm setting, any practice area.
• Based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with legal case management software such as Clio, Filevine, MyCase, or similar platforms.
• Experience with e‑filing systems (bonus).
