Asistente Legal – Departamento de Litigios

About the role

LAC Legal, a leading law firm in Panama, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its Litigation Department. The role focuses on civil and mortgage execution processes, ensuring diligent case management and timely procedural compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file memoranda, official letters, and requests related to seizures, foreclosures, auctions, and precautionary measures.
• Monitor daily court orders, notifications, and incidents, tracking deadlines and expirations.
• Process registrations, releases, and certificates with the Public Registry, ANATI, and other authorities.
• Organize and safeguard both physical and digital case files.
• Provide status updates to clients and coordinate actions with public and private entities.
• Assist the legal team in drafting reports, conducting due diligence, and managing calendars.

Required profile

• University studies in Law (at least first year completed).
• Two years of experience in litigation, execution processes, or judicial collection.
• Familiarity with procedures before the Judicial Authority, Public Registry, Notaries, and the Tax Authority (DGI).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Proficiency in Word.
• Experience with SAGJ.
• Use of document management systems.
