Program Management Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Program Management Director to lead a multi‑billion‑dollar rail infrastructure program in Panama. The role will provide technical leadership, strategic direction and oversight for one of our most complex, high‑risk initiatives, working across global business lines and regional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a mega‑scale rail infrastructure program, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery on a global scale.
• Champion ethical and safe working practices throughout the program lifecycle.
• Drive innovation in program‑management methodologies to differentiate AECOM in the marketplace.
• Collaborate with Global Business Lines, Regional leadership and Market Sector Leaders to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Identify high‑risk areas and implement proactive mitigation actions to protect program outcomes.
• Contribute to global learning and people‑development strategies, sharing best practices across the organization.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior program manager or director overseeing large, multi‑billion‑dollar infrastructure projects, preferably in rail.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and strategic direction across global teams.
• Strong track record of ensuring ethical, safe, and compliant project execution.
• Experience driving innovative program‑management approaches and methodologies.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Expertise in risk identification and proactive mitigation.
• Commitment to knowledge sharing and talent development within a global organization.
