Lead Modeling and Simulation Engineer

About the role

Cortina Solutions is seeking a high‑impact Lead Modeling and Simulation Engineer to lead complex contract work for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division. The role involves owning mission‑critical simulation efforts that shape future naval warfare technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute computer simulations, including probabilistic, software‑in‑the‑loop (SIL) and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) models.
• Create virtual data‑visualization products, such as VR/AR applications and Unity‑based simulations, to convey real‑time results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant civilian or military experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Modeling & Simulation, or a related field.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C++ and Fortran for simulation and modeling.
• Experience with Unity game engine and VR/AR application development.
• Hands‑on knowledge of probabilistic, SIL and HIL simulation techniques.
