Mid-Career Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Cortina Solutions seeks a Mid-Career Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division. The role involves cyber event analysis, incident response, and producing RMF/ATO documentation for Navy information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity and IT support in compliance with SECNAV M-5239.2 and DOD/Navy policies.
• Maintain and update RMF artifacts, manage eMASS/POA&Ms, and support ATO documentation.
• Conduct cyber event monitoring, log correlation, vulnerability assessments, and security input for software development.
• Utilize DOD‑approved tools such as DISA STIG Viewer, DISA SCAP Tool, Tenable ACAS, and McAfee HBSS/ePolicy Orchestrator.

Required profile

• 3‑7+ years of civilian or military cybersecurity experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• CompTIA Security+ certification and active DOD TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DOD Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
