Intern – Support Development of Regional Assessment Report 2027

About the role

This six‑month unpaid internship supports the preparation of the Regional Assessment Report 2027 for the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). The role is full‑time, onsite in Panama City, and offers hands‑on experience in disaster risk reduction reporting and data management.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical inputs from background papers and literature on disaster risk reduction.
• Coordinate virtual and in‑person meetings for the Regional Assessment Report development.
• Assist with data analysis and data curation tasks.
• Support the drafting of chapters for the Regional Assessment Report 2027.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to disaster risk reduction, environmental studies, or similar.
• Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, PowerPoint and MS Teams.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• No prior professional experience required.
