About the role

The Data Engineer will design and develop modern data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses and pipelines, ensuring scalability, performance and governance. The role works closely with data scientists, analysts and business teams to turn data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data lake and warehouse solutions using Hadoop, Spark, Hive and cloud platforms.
• Develop, optimize and maintain reliable data pipelines for batch and real‑time processing with tools such as Kafka, Airflow and Python.
• Define optimal data models that support advanced analytics and machine‑learning workloads.
• Implement data orchestration, automation and monitoring to ensure resilience, quality, integrity and security.
• Apply data‑governance policies, including data quality standards, retention, classification and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
• Detect and correct data anomalies, perform data profiling and validation.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to create dashboards, interactive reports and automated analytics solutions.
• Promote a data‑driven culture by democratizing data access and providing training on analytical tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
