Finance Analyst

About the role

British American Tobacco Panama is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the Finance Manager in accounting, treasury, and financial reporting activities. The role will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and business case analysis while ensuring accurate financial information across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager with accounting and treasury tasks.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and operating cash flow.
• Analyze monthly performance, close books, and produce closing reports for review.
• Support business case development and provide recommendations to cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and treasury policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, covering the full accounting cycle.
• Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and communicate insights to non‑financial stakeholders.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis).
• Microsoft Office suite.
