Entry-Level Data Scientist – Panama

About the role

Join a global consumer‑goods leader as an entry‑level Data Scientist based in Panama. You will work within a large team of data scientists, taking ownership of algorithm and model development to solve real business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Mine terabytes of data, develop models and algorithms, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Partner with business leaders and data engineers to automate and deploy models that support sales and marketing decisions.
• Apply statistical, machine‑learning and optimization techniques to real‑world problems.
• Analyze massive datasets (up to 1.5 TB daily) to generate recommendations for consumer behavior.
• Answer business questions using ML techniques and automate analysis of consumer and deep‑learning data.
• Invent next‑generation analytic capabilities for category analysts and business partners.
• Own algorithm‑driven applications from design thinking through user adoption.
• Collaborate with technology partners to scale innovative analytic solutions.

Required profile

• Up to 3 years of relevant data‑science experience.
• Academic background in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Knowledge of algorithm development, deployment and monitoring.
• Experience applying and scaling analytic techniques to deliver actionable insights.
• Experience reinventing business practices in consumer‑packaged‑goods or related industries.
• Familiarity with exploratory data analysis and BI tools such as KNIME, Tableau or PowerBI.
