About the role

CAF is a multilateral financial institution supporting sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Executive of Patrimonial Investments will lead the identification, structuring, negotiation and approval of private‑capital operations, both direct and through investment funds, to strengthen the private sector and promote inclusive, sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the identification, structuring, negotiation and approval of all types of private‑capital transactions carried out by CAF directly or through other investment vehicles (e.g., FIDE), including direct equity, fund investments and quasi‑equity in companies, public, private or mixed‑ownership financial institutions and special‑purpose vehicles.
• Manage and administer the portfolio of private‑capital investments (direct and indirect/fund) in line with CAF’s private‑sector strategy and the guidelines set by the Vice‑Presidency of the Private Sector and the Investment and Financial Development Management.
• Support the execution of the Directorate’s business and operational plan, coordinating with other management areas, the Private‑Sector Vice‑Presidency and relevant CAF units.
• Conduct complex data analysis and deep evaluation of variable factors to generate new business opportunities, including the identification, evaluation, structuring, negotiation, approval and formalisation of capital‑investment operations.
• Coordinate functional teams, prepare periodic reviews and evaluations of assigned investment operations, and ensure alignment with CAF’s strategic and impact objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in private‑capital investment processes, including deal identification, structuring and negotiation.
• Ability to coordinate functional teams and work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capabilities for in‑depth evaluation of complex data and variable factors.
• Understanding of CAF’s strategic objectives for the private sector and its impact‑driven approach.
