Coordinador de Compras y Logística

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator to manage national and international procurement, import, export, and distribution processes. The role requires strong organization, analytical abilities, and the capacity to track multiple orders and logistics activities simultaneously.

Key responsibilities

• Manage national and international purchases for stock replenishment and special orders, following approved purchase orders.
• Communicate with suppliers to verify commercial terms, invoices, received goods, and compliance.
• Administer the full purchase cycle, including backorders, warranties, claims, and returns.
• Select transportation modes (air, sea, freight, courier) based on cost, delivery time, and urgency.
• Coordinate with freight agents, couriers, and customs brokers for import and nationalization processes.
• Track shipments and prepare required documentation for receipt and customs clearance.
• Oversee export processes, returns, warranties, and outbound shipments.
• Manage special permits and documentation when required by the nature of the goods.
• Supervise local messenger and distribution routes, including pickup from ports and airports.
• Maintain transit order control and report delays or incidents promptly.
• Handle vehicle and equipment maintenance documentation.
• Record payment requests and administrative controls in SAP.
• Prepare and monitor KPIs related to purchasing, deliveries, and logistics timelines.

Required profile

• University degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, imports and/or international trade.
• Knowledge of import, export, nationalization processes and coordination with freight agents and couriers.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• SAP Business One or similar ERP system.
