Collection Specialist

About the role

As a Collection Specialist you will be responsible for managing cash collection of a customer portfolio by executing collection strategies, registering disputes and assigning them to owners for swift resolution, and following up with customers. You will work within Philips' finance team to ensure timely payments and maintain healthy customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the collection process for a defined, less‑complex customer portfolio to secure payment or payment commitments, follow up on promises, and claim payments from intermediaries or third‑party collectors when applicable.
• Compile and monitor delinquent account balances, implementing effective overdue control and follow‑up for accounts that are late, overdue, potentially overdue, or at risk of write‑off.
• Ensure proper dispute registration and assignment to owners to optimize swift resolution.
• Follow up on relevant queries and resolve escalations in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• At least 1 year of experience in credit and collection, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Knowledgeable in SAP, Excel and Pivot Tables.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working with data and numbers.
