About the role

The company is seeking a qualified Boat Captain to operate tour boats and pontoons on the Panama Canal, ensuring safe and enjoyable experiences for visitors. You will be the first point of contact for guests, providing safety briefings and guiding them through various excursions such as island visits, fishing trips, night safaris, and cultural tours.

Key responsibilities

• Navigate and operate lanchas and pontones in compliance with maritime regulations and canal traffic rules.
• Transport visitors to scheduled tour destinations, including Isla Monos, fishing areas, and indigenous communities.
• Conduct daily inspections of engines, safety systems, life jackets, fire extinguishers, and VHF radio before departure.
• Welcome guests, deliver safety briefings, and manage boarding and disembarkation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the vessel and dock facilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating small boats or pontoons.
• Second‑class boat operator license for vessels up to 12 meters.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and provide excellent customer service.
• Immediate availability, responsible attitude, and strong commitment.

Required skills

• Boat operation and navigation of lanchas and pontones.
• Engine and system inspection procedures.
• VHF radio operation.
• Safety equipment checks (life jackets, fire extinguishers).
• Second‑class boat operator license (up to 12 m).
