About the role

The Electrical Foreman will lead a team of electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at Minera Panamá S.A. This position ensures that all work complies with safety standards, project specifications, and national electrical codes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of electricians, assign tasks, provide technical guidance, and monitor performance.
• Plan, schedule, and execute electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects according to drawings, schematics, and applicable codes.
• Inspect systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and required adjustments.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical problems using appropriate testing devices and diagnostic tools.
• Enforce company safety policies, national electrical codes, and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure the use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Train junior electricians and apprentices.
• Assist in procurement and inventory management of electrical supplies and equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program.
• Valid electrician license or equivalent certification in Panama.
• Minimum 5 years of qualified electrician experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role, preferably in heavy‑industrial or mining environments.
• Strong knowledge of national electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in challenging mining environmental conditions.
