Urban Development Experts for Global Projects

About the role

NTU International A/S is building a talent pool of experienced urban development professionals to support the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project. Selected experts will be mobilised for short‑term technical assistance assignments worldwide, focusing on sustainable, smart, and resilient cities.

Key responsibilities

• Support identification, appraisal and implementation of sustainable urban development projects.
• Conduct urban diagnostics, prefeasibility and feasibility studies, technical assessments and economic analyses.
• Assist in integrated urban and land‑use planning, master‑plan preparation and development of smart, green, inclusive city strategies.
• Advise public authorities on urban policies, regulatory frameworks and governance reforms.
• Prepare urban investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
• Integrate sustainable mobility, climate‑change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and nature‑based solutions into urban plans.
• Support socially inclusive development, gender equality, accessibility and human‑rights considerations.
• Conduct financial assessments and identify financing mechanisms, including PPPs and private‑sector participation.
• Contribute to institutional strengthening, knowledge creation, training and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in urban development, planning, infrastructure or related sustainability fields.
• Strong analytical skills for economic, financial and technical assessments.
• Familiarity with climate‑resilience, smart‑city and green‑infrastructure concepts.
• Ability to work with public authorities and international stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and be mobilised for short‑term assignments globally.
