Staff Civil Engineer – Land Development Projects

About the role

Langan is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Panama. You will support the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects across mixed‑use, commercial, residential, and institutional sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents such as reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software to produce detailed design plans.
• Analyze soil, terrain, hydrology, and topography data to inform design decisions.
• Recommend innovative approaches to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members on project tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience or internship in site/civil design.
• EIT certification or current registration for the FE exam.
• Experience with site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
