Senior Sales Specialist – Modern Trade (Pet Food)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to lead the modern‑trade channel for a leading pet‑food brand in Panama. The Senior Sales Specialist will act as the brand ambassador, grow the category, secure shelf space and drive joint growth with key grocery customers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales targets and CDP goals for assigned grocery accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic growth plans with key retailers, including pricing, promotions, displays and joint business plans.
• Negotiate commercial terms and monitor execution at point of sale.
• Analyse sales, distribution, inventory and customer data to identify opportunities.
• Track and improve key performance indicators such as sales accuracy, forecast, coverage and quota attainment.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other teams.
• Identify market trends, propose innovative solutions and reduce inefficiencies, returns and rejects.
• Prepare and follow a monthly work plan with weekly sessions, direct/indirect merchant engagements and KPI reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Sales, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience selling in the supermarket/grocery channel, preferably in fast‑moving consumer goods.
• Proven negotiation and strategic account development skills.
• Strong analytical mindset, results‑oriented and able to build trusted relationships.
• Highly organized, autonomous and diligent in follow‑up.
• Experience in the pet‑care category is a plus.
