Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our IT team in Panama City. The role focuses on designing, implementing and managing cloud‑native infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, with a strong emphasis on automation, Kubernetes orchestration and security. You will collaborate with development, security and operations teams to enable the company’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage enterprise‑grade Azure infrastructure with multi‑region, high‑availability architecture.
• Build, scale, monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Develop Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions with Terraform/OpenTofu, ARM templates or Bicep.
• Lead vulnerability assessments and implement remediation across cloud and container environments.
• Establish security policies, compliance standards and perform continuous security scanning.
• Automate operational tasks with scripting to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
• Monitor performance, optimize resource utilization and drive cost‑management initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Required profile

• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Expert‑level proficiency with Microsoft Azure services (compute, networking, storage, security).
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes deployment, scaling, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories and artifacts.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation and scripting (Terraform/OpenTofu, PowerShell, Bash, Go, Python).
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and familiarity with CIS and NIST frameworks.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus and Application Insights.
