Senior Data Architect - Digital Transformation (LATAM)

About the role

Truelogic, a nearshore staff augmentation provider with more than 600 tech professionals in Latin America, is recruiting a Senior Data Architect for a digital transformation agency client. The agency combines strategy, engineering and data to build digital products, customer experiences and marketing solutions, using emerging technologies and AI. The architect leads the design of scalable enterprise data platforms, turning business requirements into technical strategy and guiding engineering teams through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead solution design and architectural decisions for medium to large client engagements covering data platforms, pipelines and AI-enabled workflows.
• Assess existing architectures, identify gaps and define future-state roadmaps.
• Produce and present system diagrams, integration maps, architecture decision records and technical standards.
• Guide engineering teams through implementation and mentor engineers on architectural decisions.
• Run discovery workshops with client engineering, data and IT stakeholders.
• Evaluate cloud data platforms, frameworks and third-party integrations against client requirements.
• Design distributed data pipelines, composable platforms and API-first ecosystems with AI/ML capabilities.
• Connect marketing data sources (GA4, advertising platforms, CRMs, CDPs) to analytics and machine learning workloads.
• Align architectures with security, privacy, compliance and governance requirements.
• Support technical pre-sales, RFP responses, SOW development and executive presentations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software or data engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on architecture or solution design.
• Broad expertise across cloud infrastructure, APIs, data platforms and modern technology ecosystems.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems and API ecosystems at enterprise scale.
• Experience integrating AI/ML into data pipelines, with exposure to generative AI, and hands-on use of AI-powered coding tools and agentic engineering.
• Experience applying data governance, privacy compliance and security best practices.
• Ability to work directly with client technical teams and act as a trusted technical advisor, presenting architecture to technical and executive audiences.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and ETL.
