Senior Construction Engineer

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer to join its Panama City team, working on complex water infrastructure projects such as dams and retaining structures. The role offers hybrid work options and a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced engineering theories and novel approaches to major construction projects.
• Direct a group of engineers on‑site and take full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating complex assignments.
• Design and oversee water dams, retarding basins and service basins from concept to detailed design.
• Evaluate and validate contractors' change order requests against contract documents.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience in inspection, design, and engineering of dams or water retaining structures.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Advanced engineering analysis and design techniques.
• Inspection and evaluation of water infrastructure projects.
• Change order assessment and contract compliance.
