Security Officer - Monitoring and Control

About the role

We are looking for a Security Officer specialized in Monitoring and Control to lead financial cyber‑defense initiatives. You will protect critical services by applying proactive security strategies, working closely with our Security Operations Center and ensuring compliance with international frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and respond to security incidents and events in coordination with the SOC.
• Define, implement and validate hardening controls for on‑premise and cloud infrastructure.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, managing remediation plans.
• Deploy and manage security solutions such as firewalls, EDR, DLP, WAF and DDoS mitigation.
• Advise IT and business projects on integrating cyber‑security controls from design.
• Document operational procedures and apply security bulletins proactively.
• Generate reports, metrics and indicators to support audit plans.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of proven experience in banking or financial technology environments.
• Degree in Computer Security Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field; a master’s in Cybersecurity or Auditing is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work in a high‑performance culture.

Required skills

• Operating systems and networking: Windows, Linux, Cisco, Active Directory.
• Financial databases: Sybase, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL.
• Security solutions: firewalls, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), antivirus, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web Application Firewall (WAF), web filtering, DDoS mitigation, cryptography, vulnerability scanners.
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Office 365 / Microsoft 365.
• Security frameworks and standards: NIST CSF, PCI‑DSS, ISO/IEC 27001, COBIT, SOC, GDPR, TIER.
