Regional Public Policy & Government Affairs Manager

About the role

We are seeking a senior Regional Public Policy & Government Affairs Manager to lead inDrive's government relations across Central America and the Caribbean, covering eight markets. The role is based in Panama City (or Guatemala City) and focuses on shaping regulatory environments for technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with government officials, policymakers, regulators and industry leaders across the eight markets.
• Design and lead the regional government relations and public affairs strategy, including objectives, OKRs, roadmaps and action plans for each market.
• Proactively shape regulation for ride‑hailing and other tech platforms, overseeing licensing and compliance across multiple verticals.
• Identify regulatory and political risks, manage crises, and build coalitions with businesses, trade associations, NGOs and civil society.
• Coordinate external public affairs consultants, strengthen inDrive's brand with policymakers, and own the regional GR budget.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs or public policy, preferably with multi‑country scope in Central America and/or the Caribbean.
• Strong, active network with government and regulatory stakeholders in Panama and solid understanding of regional policy environments.
• Degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, International Affairs or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish.
