Proposal Manager, Presales

About the role

The Proposal Manager, Presales will own the creation of client‑facing proposals for custom software development and IT professional services. Working remotely, you will coordinate inputs from sales, solution architecture, delivery and professional services to deliver clear, compelling documents that move opportunities forward.

Key responsibilities

• Lead proposals from intake through submission, using discovery conversations, client notes and internal expertise.
• Manage RFP, RFQ and RFI responses, ensuring every requirement is addressed.
• Plan response timelines, assign contributors, oversee review cycles and handle client clarifications.
• Write executive summaries, client understanding sections and capability narratives.
• Integrate technical, delivery, security and commercial content into a single, consistent document.
• Identify gaps or unanswered questions before submission and coordinate resolution.
• Maintain vendor registrations, complete security questionnaires and keep standing documents (certificates, financial statements, tax documents) up to date.
• Own the reusable proposal content library, develop case studies, and manage capability presentations and pitch materials.
• Provide effort and feasibility assessments for bid/no‑bid decisions and gather pricing inputs.

Required profile

• Excellent written communication with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear proposals.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented mindset for spotting inconsistencies and ensuring compliance.
• Experience working in a remote, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Proven experience managing RFP/RFQ/RFI processes.
• Familiarity with security questionnaires and vendor onboarding procedures.
• Ability to craft executive summaries, capability narratives and case studies.
