Operations Coordinator – Cargo Clearance

About the role

The Operations Coordinator ensures the smooth clearance and delivery of commercial cargo shipments to client warehouses or stores. The role guarantees that all required documentation is complete, coordinates with government authorities and service providers, and monitors the entire process until successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all customs and shipping documents are accurate and complete.
• Coordinate with government agencies, port authorities, shipping lines, and other service providers.
• Monitor the clearance process, track shipments, and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide customers with end‑to‑end customs clearance solutions within agreed timelines.
• Maintain compliance with national and international maritime regulations (IMO, ISPS, SOLAS).
• Work rotating shifts as required by operational demands.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Port Administration, International Trade, Maritime Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of proven experience in maritime, port, or logistics operations.
• Experience handling maritime documentation and liaising with shipping lines or port agents.
• Understanding of import/export processes and port operations software.
• Fluent Spanish; intermediate to advanced English preferred.
• Availability to work rotating shifts and knowledge of port protocols.
