Lead Automation Tester (JavaScript/TypeScript)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Automation Tester to drive quality for customer‑facing web applications and APIs within an Agile product team. You will design, implement, and maintain JavaScript/TypeScript test automation, ensuring reliable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs.
• Improve existing automation frameworks and utilities.
• Build test coverage for new features and regression scenarios.
• Execute functional and regression testing as part of the release process.
• Analyze failures, collaborate with developers to identify root causes, and resolve defects.
• Review requirements, contribute to test planning and test case design.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and test management tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with cross‑functional team members.
• Share automation knowledge and best practices across the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of test automation experience for web applications.
• Strong hands‑on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and test‑automation design patterns.
• Solid background in Node.js and modern frameworks such as WebDriverIO or Selenium.
• Practical expertise in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Deep understanding of software testing principles, test design, and defect management.
• Proficiency with Git‑based source control.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Familiarity with test‑management tools like qTest or TestRail.
• Exposure to cloud‑based test execution platforms (e.g., LambdaTest).
• Experience testing authentication and authorization APIs.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile teams and communicate in English (B2+).
