IT Technical Engineer - CAD/PDM

About the role

Signify is seeking an experienced IT Technical Engineer specialized in CAD/PDM to work onsite in Panama. The role will administer and support the SolidWorks PDM Professional environment, provide Level 2 and Level 3 assistance to engineering users worldwide, and contribute to the migration from SolidWorks PDM to Teamcenter.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support the SolidWorks PDM Professional environment, including vault configuration, workflows, lifecycle states, data cards, templates, variables, user roles and permissions.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for application incidents and service requests, troubleshooting vault access, replication, client connectivity and integrations.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive actions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, cybersecurity, engineering teams and software vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
• Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge articles, operational procedures and support runbooks.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, audit requirements and ITIL‑based change management processes.
• Support the migration to Teamcenter, including planning, data validation, testing, UAT, cut‑over and post‑production support.
• Provide operational support for additional CAD applications such as Siemens NX, SolidEdge and Autodesk Inventor.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering SolidWorks PDM in an enterprise setting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root‑cause analysis.
• Experience working with cross‑functional IT and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with IT security standards and ITIL change management processes.
• Ability to document procedures and create knowledge articles.
