About the role

The Construction Manager will lead the technical execution of multiple commercial and residential projects for a well‑established Panamanian firm. This high‑visibility, field‑based position requires deep knowledge of construction dynamics, the ability to assess progress on‑site, anticipate issues, and guide teams toward effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the simultaneous execution of approximately five construction projects.
• Supervise resident engineers and on‑site teams for each worksite.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, contracts and best construction practices.
• Monitor project schedules, identify delays, interferences, deficiencies and technical risks, and define corrective actions.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, materials, equipment and on‑site resources.
• Track budgets and prevent technical or operational decisions that could cause cost overruns.
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout all construction phases.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, designers, inspectors, contractors and suppliers.
• Report progress, conditions and required decisions to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Current professional license in Panama.
• 7+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years leading field teams or multiple projects simultaneously.
• Hands‑on field experience in commercial projects such as malls, dealerships, restaurants or offices; residential experience is a plus.
• Own vehicle and willingness to travel between sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and consult AutoCAD drawings.
