Distribution Design Engineer II/III

About the role

Join our innovative team in Panama to design and coordinate modern, reliable electric distribution systems. As a Distribution Design Engineer II/III you will work closely with construction crews, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality grid projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys of electric distribution networks, document conditions, and collect data for design.
• Utilize AutoCAD, GIS, and pole‑loading software (IKE Poleforeman, Ocalc, SpidaCalc) to design overhead and underground systems.
• Prepare complete design packages including drawings, material lists, and cost estimates.
• Act as the primary liaison between design teams, field personnel, and clients, managing schedules and resolving field issues.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure deliverables meet client specifications and timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in distribution system design for Staff Engineer II (or 3‑4 years for Staff Engineer III) with proven project coordination abilities.
• Familiarity with distribution systems, AutoCAD, GIS, and pole‑loading tools.
• Advanced proficiency in English and willingness to travel as needed.
