About the role

The Construction Director will lead, plan and control all company operations, ensuring efficient execution of construction projects while meeting strategic, financial and operational goals. The role is responsible for upholding quality, safety, sustainability and client satisfaction standards across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise execution of all construction operations and projects.
• Plan, organize and control project delivery, guaranteeing scope, schedule, budget, quality and profitability.
• Coordinate preparation and review of budgets, work plans and project timelines.
• Monitor progress through site visits and regular meetings with project managers.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, legal, environmental and occupational safety regulations.
• Lead project monitoring committees and validate progress reports from Production Managers.
• Efficiently manage human, technical, material and financial resources assigned to operations.
• Define objectives, KPIs and action plans for responsible areas, ensuring organizational targets are met.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation and adoption of productivity‑enhancing technologies.
• Oversee performance, development and training of staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Coordinate communication and collaboration with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal departments.
• Control operational budget, authorize purchases and contracts within approved limits.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives, process standardization and optimal resource utilization.
• Report regularly to General Management and shareholders on results and risk management.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Preferably a specialization or master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration or Operations Management.
• Professional certification in Project Management (PMP® or equivalent) is a plus.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the construction sector, with at least 5 years in senior operational leadership.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale construction projects and controlling budgets.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and implementing continuous‑improvement initiatives.
