Cabinetmaker Assistant – Woodworking Support

About the role

Palito Studio, a wood‑design studio based in David, Panama, is looking for a Cabinetmaker Assistant to support the production of furniture and spatial elements. You will work closely with the design and joinery team, helping to turn design concepts into finished wooden pieces.

Key responsibilities

• Cut, sand, and assemble wooden components according to design specifications.
• Assist with finishing processes and ensure high‑quality surface treatment.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, organization, and tool condition.
• Prepare materials, load and unload pieces, and support on‑site installation of furniture.
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment correctly.

Required profile

• Basic experience working with wood and handling both manual and electric tools.
• Understanding of workshop safety and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and work for extended periods in a workshop environment.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and teamwork orientation.
