BAY Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Bay Mechanic to join our hydroelectric plant operations team. The role focuses on ensuring reliable mechanical performance of plant equipment through preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance tasks on mechanical systems including cooling, auxiliaries, turbine, generator and speed governor.
• Carry out daily mechanical maintenance programs for each plant unit.
• Prepare and close work orders in SAP, documenting man‑hours, materials and equipment used.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) development and manage work permits.
• Review SAP task periodicity to improve maintenance processes.
• Communicate equipment, material and spare‑part needs for annual budgeting.
• Interpret mechanical drawings to identify components and support proper operation.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical maintenance of hydroelectric or power generation equipment.
• Ability to work safely following occupational health, safety and environmental standards.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for work order management.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques.
