About the role

We are looking for an organized and analytical Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement operations in the Free Zone of Colón, Panama. The role involves turning inventory data into actionable buying recommendations and ensuring optimal stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze inventory levels, rotation, coverage and purchasing behavior to prevent stockouts and excess.
• Identify replenishment needs and recommend timing, quantity and product selection.
• Prepare purchase analyses and proposals based on historical data, demand trends and inventory status.
• Track pending orders, delays, shortages and discrepancies.
• Verify that agreed conditions are correctly applied.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper purchase planning.
• Develop indicators and reports to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Completed or ongoing university studies in Business Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• 2‑3 years of experience in purchasing, supply, inventory management or similar areas.
• Intermediate English (spoken and written).
• Availability to work onsite in the Free Zone of Colón.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory management tools such as Slimstock (preferred).
