Afterschool Coach

About the role

The Afterschool Coach will plan, lead and develop extracurricular activities that support students' overall development, including skills, creativity, physical fitness and teamwork. The role also involves preparing students for performances, competitions and tournaments while representing the school’s values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead training sessions, classes, rehearsals and practical activities for the assigned discipline (e.g., soccer).
• Design age‑appropriate teaching strategies and develop technical, physical and cognitive skills.
• Foster values such as discipline, respect, perseverance, teamwork and leadership.
• Supervise students during activities, competitions and external events, ensuring safe and professional conduct.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback and adapt sessions to meet individual needs.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and manage equipment, facilities and resources responsibly.
• Coordinate with program coordinators and communicate effectively with staff.

Required profile

• Academic background, certification or demonstrated experience in the discipline to be taught.
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
• Ability to manage groups of varying ages and skill levels.
• Willingness to participate in competitions, tournaments and performances outside regular school hours.
• Proficiency in English is an asset, especially in an international school environment.
