Advanced Product Steward

About the role

Join 3M’s Transportation & Energy Business Group as an Advanced Product Steward, supporting the Display & Electronics Interconnect product portfolio. You will work on ensuring compliance of wires, connectors, and cable assemblies with global safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regulatory compliance and Life Cycle Management for new product introductions and change management processes.
• Review Bills of Materials to identify regulated substances and ensure RoHS, REACH, and other environmental compliance.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain material declarations, safety data sheets, and compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate records in the Environmental Management System for all raw materials.
• Respond to customer requests for regulatory data sheets, article information sheets, and declarations of conformity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline.
• At least two years of experience in EHS, regulatory compliance, product stewardship, or related fields.
• Experience with electronics, data‑center, or cable/connector products is a plus.

Required skills

• Regulatory compliance knowledge (RoHS, REACH, etc.).
• Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis for regulated substances.
• Handling of material declarations, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and compliance documentation.
• Use of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for record keeping.
