Administrative Support Intern for UNDRR Regional Platform IX Session

About the role

This unpaid, full‑time remote internship supports the IX Session of the Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas and the Caribbean. Working under the Associate Administrative Officer of UNDRR ROAC, the intern will assist with administrative and procurement tasks essential to the platform’s success.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in procurement processes for the Regional Platform, including sourcing interpretation and translation services.
• Support the setup and management of online platforms and software used during the IX Session.
• Coordinate product and material logistics required for virtual and hybrid events.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, invoices, and related documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the Regional Office team.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate interested in disaster risk reduction.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish or French is an asset.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; willingness to learn procurement and administrative tools.
