Accounts Receivable Analyst

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for managing collections within the AR department, handling invoicing, reconciling balances, and preparing periodic reports on receivables and past‑due status. The role works closely with cash applications, credit, and finance teams to ensure accurate posting of cash receipts, credit notes, refunds, and bank reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an active portfolio of customer accounts and contact clients with past‑due balances to secure payment or payment commitments.
• Achieve collection metrics such as 90% accounts touched and 85% current portfolio balance.
• Report disputed or short‑paid invoices, identify root causes, and collaborate with internal teams or customers to resolve them.
• Escalate major collection issues to management when special attention is required.
• Assist cash applications with payment application discrepancies and ensure timely adjustments.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives for accounts receivable.
• Prepare proposals for agency placement and bad‑debt write‑offs.

Required profile

• High school diploma; accounting or finance degree is a plus.
• At least one year of accounts receivable experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Organized and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with Oracle systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) (preferred).
