About the role

As a Storage Engineer you will design, build, and maintain distributed storage systems that guarantee data availability and high performance at scale. You will bridge low‑level systems programming with high‑throughput infrastructure, ensuring massive datasets are stored efficiently and accessed reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable distributed storage solutions such as Ceph, MinIO, or S3‑compatible systems.
• Develop and optimise storage layers using systems‑level languages like C, C++, Go, or Rust.
• Implement robust data replication, durability, and consistency models.
• Manage the lifecycle of distributed file systems and object stores in high‑throughput environments.
• Architect block storage configurations for large‑scale production workloads.
• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot storage performance to minimise latency and maximise resource efficiency.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in storage, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
• Proven expertise designing and managing distributed storage systems (Ceph, MinIO, S3‑compatible).
• Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go, or Rust for systems‑level development.
• Deep understanding of durability, consistency, replication, and block storage at scale.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed file systems and object stores in high‑performance settings.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
