Signalling System Engineer

About the role

The Signalling System Engineer will lead system and signalling integration activities for the Panama Line 3 Metro project, ensuring delivery of the signalling solution on time, with quality and within budget. Based in Panama City, the role supports both the bidding and execution phases of this railway turnkey project.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage system and signalling requirements, implementing a requirements management process to allocate and validate subsystems requirements.
• Coordinate and manage interfaces between signalling subsystems and external parties, scheduling technical resolutions throughout all project phases.
• Produce signalling system design documentation, covering architecture, functionalities, principles, and verification activities for all subsystems.
• Conduct gap analysis against standard solutions, identifying functional gaps and allocating requirements to appropriate subsystems.
• Manage configuration and delivery of software for signalling subsystems on site and in the laboratory according to project schedules.
• Execute on‑site signalling system tests and participate in factory acceptance testing of main signalling equipment.
• Serve as the primary contact for the project team and customer regarding signalling matters, overseeing approval processes with authorities.
• Support the Commissioning Manager and Project Engineer to achieve final system approval and closure.
