Senior Software Engineer (Rust)

About the role

Skydropx is looking for a Senior Rust Developer to lead the technical design and development of high‑impact services that power its logistics platform. You will work closely with other engineers, architects, and product teams, shaping architectural decisions and driving modern development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of new features and critical improvements, ensuring security, performance, and test coverage.
• Make high‑impact architectural decisions and propose system‑level technical enhancements.
• Develop high‑performance components in Rust when efficiency, concurrency, or memory safety are required.
• Write and review detailed technical documentation, RFCs, and design proposals.
• Debug complex issues in distributed production systems.
• Define and enforce code quality, maintainability, and best‑practice standards across the team.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, providing guidance and removing blockers.
• Conduct rigorous yet constructive code reviews.
• Independently launch large‑scale features, coordinating with other teams as needed.
• Participate in technical planning and help define the engineering roadmap.

Required profile

• Fluent English (minimum B2 level).
• At least 6 years of experience designing and developing software, including Rack applications with Node.js or Ruby on Rails.
• Professional experience using Rust in production environments (services, system tools, high‑performance components, etc.).
• Strong background in JavaScript and modern front‑end ecosystems.
• Proven track record building microservices and APIs.
