Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role

Join APM Terminals in Panama to drive the growth of our Port of Balboa portfolio. You will work in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating with skilled colleagues to implement procurement initiatives that support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage performance of strategic suppliers through periodic evaluations, KPIs, and continuous improvement plans.
• Identify and implement cost‑optimization initiatives, including cost savings, cost avoidance, and total cost of ownership analyses, and prepare executive reports.
• Train and support suppliers on the Supplier Registry processes.
• Verify and review documentation submitted by suppliers, then forward for analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• College degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, International Business or related fields.
• At least one year of experience handling large volumes of procurement information.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and Incoterms.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with Lean experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
