Senior Dams Engineer (RCC)

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Dams Engineer specialized in Roller‑Compacted Concrete (RCC) to join its Panama City team. You will lead the design, assessment, and risk analysis of water storage and hydropower dams, supporting both new projects and the evaluation of existing structures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead conceptual through detailed design of RCC dams, retarding basins and service basins.
• Act as Capture Manager for pre‑positioning and proposal preparation.
• Inspect, investigate and assess condition of existing dams, reviewing monitoring data.
• Conduct alternatives analyses, feasibility studies and produce detailed design documentation.
• Perform failure‑mode and risk analyses, facilitating workshops as an independent consultant.
• Maintain liaison with clients and provide technical expertise throughout project phases.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in dam engineering, particularly RCC structures.
• Proven ability to manage complex design projects from concept to delivery.
• Strong analytical skills for risk and failure‑mode assessments.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and workshop facilitation.
